"I used to be prone to internalising my thoughts and feelings and only sharing my conclusions. This left people in the dark as to what (and if!) I was thinking. Now I’m much more likely to share my thoughts and feelings and am thus seen to be part of the debate rather than just providing the solution."

Leadership

Hierarchical power, wealth, status, success, none of these make you a leader. Only the willing gathering of energy and attention can make leaders.

A leader inspires others to join them in creating something new: whether a technical innovation, a new concept, an artistic creation, or a revitalised work environment.

When we use the word ‘leader’, we don’t mean someone with a certain job description. We mean a person who has found their source of power and who uses it wisely. Who has the courage to transform their own way of thinking and working and, in so doing, to transform the culture of their organisation. Who attracts and focuses the energy around them. Who enables others to be all that they can be.

In the complex web of relationships in which we live and work, everyone has the potential to be a leader.
