boas FAQ...

Is it effective to select just a few people for coaching?

We are happy to work with selected individuals if that will best meet your current needs and resources. We often find that this highlights important issues that can be addressed more systematically in the future. Clients who are keen to initiate an integrated coaching partnership (TM) often test the water with a few individual contracts.

However, experience has shown us that piecemeal coaching has three major drawbacks. Firstly, lack of consistency in the leadership message that is developed by the senior team; this can have a negative impact on morale within the organisation, and on the clarity of the brand, in public perception. Secondly, the individual benefits hugely but the organisation misses out on the potential for diagnostic analysis of the coaching themes, as they relate to wider organisational issues; there is a lost opportunity for organisational learning. Thirdly, piecemeal coaching may create stress for the individual, as they change themselves but continue to work in a system which is not changing.
boas’ integrated coaching partnership was developed specifically to provide the benefits of confidential one-to-one coaching, while addressing the pitfalls of an un-integrated approach.
